On 25 July, H.E. Ambassador Fei Shengchao, together with Director General of Somali Youth and Sports Ministry, Mr. Abdirahim Warsame Dirie, bid farewell to Somali Delegation heading for Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games at Mogadishu International Airport.

H.E. Ambassador Fei Shengchao commended the profound traditional friendship between China and Somalia and extended his warm welcome to the delegation heading for Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games. He said that this will be a good opportunity to showcase the enthusiasm and vitality of Somali youth to people in China and from around the world and promote youth exchanges between China and Somalia. He wished the delegation good luck and every success at the games.

Mr. Abdirahim Warsame Dirie spoke highly of the brotherly friendship between Somalia and China and expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Somalia for all the assistance and the warm welcome to the delegation. He hoped that the visit of the Somali delegation to China will promote exchanges between the two countries in the field of sports. He encouraged Somali athletes to show their best and add to the pride of the country.
