On 13 July, H.E. Ambassador Fei Shengchao attended and addressed the launching event of the Great Green Wall Initiative of Somalia.

H.E. Ambassador Fei Shengchao extended congratulations on Somalia’s joining of the African Great Green Wall project launched by African Union, introduced China's major achievements and experience in environmental protection, especially desertification control. He wished Somalia every success in promoting sustainable development and emphasized China will continue to support the African Union and Somalia in implementing the African Great Green Wall project.
